Liebe Freunde der Kunst und Musik,
Andrea Frederick aus Köln hat während eines 2-wöchigen Aufenthaltes
im Atelierhaus sehenswerte und poetische Werke geschaffen. Ihre
Arbeiten sind von Leichtigkeit geprägt, teils tänzerisch anmutend oder
auch florales und landschaftliches erahnend.
Neben der Präsentation ihrer Arbeiten dürft ihr euch auch auf ein
Konzert freuen. ...

January 2001 Diners at the Grand Old House Restaurant are being treated to an art exhibition entitled 'Here Versus There', which is inspired by the artist's time living in here Cayman and the contrast to her native Germany. The artist, Andrea Hilger-Frederick, who is a regular visitor to Cayman, explains that the 35 pieces of experimental work were stimulated by the differences in color, light and temperature between Cayman and Germany. Andrea, who trained in New York and has exhibited in the USA and Germany, works in the very traditional media of egg tempera. Assistant Manager, Sharon Hurlstone of Grand Old House said "We are always eager to become associated with local art and culture and are particularly pleased that Andrea is using our setting for her first Caymanian exhibition". The exhibition can be viewed at the Grand Old House until mid January when selected pieces can be seen at the Kennedy Gallery.
